I’m Antoinette M. James, a survivor and storyteller. In my memoir, Behind the Badge: Her Story, I share my journey from overcoming sexual abuse and single motherhood to working as a Detroit cop uncovering corruption. My mission is to amplify the voices of women who’ve endured trauma in silence, especially those facing domestic violence and the crisis of missing Black women.
